I have watched the scan, and I am seeing it trudge along taking several minutes per file on. It is now going on 70 hours and incomplete. Something has happened recently that has slowed this process down tremendously on some of the machines, including my own workstation. I have policy that initiates local full scan on clients on Sunday. Using ESET business, Endpoint Security version 10.0.245.0 installed on client machines running Windows 10 Pro. Virtual machine: Windows 10 22H2 under Hyper-V on a desktop computer.

I should note, I'm using task assigned to dynamic group to install Endpoint, however this group sits under default static group ALL, and it works flawlessly. After that, I moved VM to a different static group, and back again to the group with the task enabled, and it never triggered again. Earlier I tested a dummy task for displaying a message to the user, and it worked once after 10min delay.

Problem I have is on stage 1, where virtual machine I'm testing it on has been moved to recycle bin, then assigned to dynamic group and scheduled task execution, but it's been sitting on "planned" for 3 hours.

When we change the update server settings again from Auto to selected server, it does not ask for activation but does not update.Īll other Servers, with Windows server 2008 and Windows 8 and 10 computers are updating without any issues.

When we enter the activation key it does activate but on the update screen, it still keeps asking for activating the product. When we try to change the update server settings to Choose Automatically, it asked to active the product again. We tried to clear the update cache and remove proxy settings but it gives same error. “Virus signature database update ended with an error. While trying to update, it shows as Update progress: 3/11 and then abruptly fails with error: We have noticed update issues with Windows 2003 servers only from past 1-2 weeks. We also have some legacy Windows 2003 servers in our environment with ESET Server Security version 8.0 installed and configured to update from the configured central server (in Win2K8 as mentioned above). We have installed ESET Server Security version 7.0 in Windows 2008 R2 server and configured it with mirror setup for other computers to update from it.
